THAT'S THE WAY IT IS follows Elvis as he prepares to return to the stage and follows him up to his opening nights. This is a compelling, fascinating, and highly amusing musical documentary where Elvis' overall talent and musicality come through while watching him rehearse, jam and arrange his list of songs. Simultaneously celebrating and poking good-natured fun at the Las Vegas era of Elvis's career, director Denis Sanders often just sits back and lets the performances speak for themselves. The film includes the King preparing offstage for his 1970 tour and culminates in his opening night performance in Las Vegas. The film includes more than 30 of the King's fabulous songs.

    First time seeing Elvis on this concert. I see why my Mother ( and everyone else) loved him so much. Besides being a great singer,humanitarian, giving,kind person,his charisma is off the charts!dvd not o my shows concert but behind the scenes rehearsing,talking and joking around,not only beautiful,but with a great sense of humor. Like getting to know a person you never knew.

    Wonderful memories.

    As a 16 yr old girl I was at his concert in 1970. My aunt and I were way up in the cheap seats but enjoyed every minute of the show. This DVD brought back wonderful memories with behind the scene interviews and some great personal glimpses into Elvis lifestyle even his nervous anticipation of the show.
