I already had one of these connected between my Dish Receiver and my speaker system -- it has really helped improve the sound. The older I get, the more I appreciate the EQ-3000, and how easy it is to adjust the frequencies to get rid of the "mud" in the typical signal. The one I purchased through E-Bay is being used to improve the playback sound in my small composition and recording studio speakers. BSR EQ-3000 Equalizer
I had one of these in the 1980s and loved it, super high quality, easy to set-up, you can make an ordinary stereo receiver sound excellent! Highly recommended!

I bought one of these back in 96 or 97 to use with my new SoundCraftsmen amplifier. I really came to like the displays on the unit. It warms the sound going through my system. Best way I can describe it. even when the eq is not altering the sound taking it out of the system leaves an unpleasant sound which is very sterile sounding. With the unit in the system the sound is warmer. Then you can still use the eq to boost bass and cut very high frequencies. I Spectrum analyser really helps me to keep from running to much signal into my amps. The unit is very, very durable. I now own 2 of these one for each of my tape monitor stacks in my racks. The third device- same brand and model- very accurate and quiet, I am using all three in my audio set-up.
An ideal device for my cassette decks. I can use the spectral analyzer to " watch " the audio output, and adjust as necessary, to suit my needs.
