  • intel 520 series SSD is good choice

So far so good. My friend has 120 GB intel 520 series SSD. No problems whatsoever for over 1 year. That is why I got one 180Gb capacity. 30 days all good. Wakes up from all kind of sleeps flawlessly. No noise. No heat. Battery last longer on my latitude E6420. I think 520 series is a good choise SSD. If you plan on cloning it make sure you initialize it in windows admin tools as mine came unformatted and cloning was not happening. Format using 1024 offset. Intel does not give you clear instructions on cloning. Other than this minor inconvenience this SSD really rocks!

  • This SSD is a very good value for money

This is a very good drive. I bought it after reading Intel specs, because it has many advanced features, including compression and encryption. Drive works very well for me, my computer became much faster, and now boots in under 1 minute. I hope it will be more reliable than the hard drive too, but only time will tell.

  • Best increase in performance in years.

These are the best upgrade if you are looking to speed up loading times for your system. They are still expensive per gig, but prices are falling. My programs are like lightning when loading. Gaming is great going from zone to zone. I really like that Intel had some nice monitoring software that checks the health of the drives and has a great optimizer. Simple to use. I loaded windows onto the drive in less than eight minutes. Lightning in a tin can.

  • Would recommend to anyone with a 4-5 year old laptop looking for more speed

SSD is expensive anywhere else, and especially new from places like Newegg, Tigerdirect, and Amazon. If you go SSD, go Intel! My research shows they have the best continuing support for any of their models and provide software utilities to keep your SSD running great. For anyone with SATA II, buy an SSD! I'm getting 8 second boot times into Windows 8.1 Update 1 versus the 1 minute boot times I was getting with a 7200 rpm Hitachi drive. It's a no brainer.
