Very happy with this dvd/blu-ray player - Wanted one that was truly Cinavia-free and this fit the bill. It did not come with the remote, but I found a used original remote for $14, so not a big deal. The DVD function is perfect - when I tested the Blu-Ray, I found an odd issue. I have the entire Downton Abbey series in Blu-Ray - all the original UK version. The player could not recognize the first series, but no problem on the rest of the series. Again, not a problem being I have several Sony Blu-Ray players that have no problem with this.Very happy with this dvd/blu-ray player - Wanted one that was truly Cinavia-free and this fit the bill. Panasonic DMP-BD100 Blu-Ray Player
I bought this unit in planning ahead in preparation for buying a Panasonic 3D Plasma set as soon as the 2011 models become available. For a 3D ready unit, it can be picked up on Ebay at very reasonable prices. Since I am still using Component Video cables, you have to go into the Menu and turn the HDMI output setting off. Right out of the box it displayed a much more vivid picture than the Samsung Blu-Ray player it was replacing. I hard-wired it to my Internet Router and it immediately made a connection, which gave me access to the various Apps via the Viera Link button. It also downloaded a firmware update automatically which took a few minutes. The remote is well thought out and easy to use, however a few of the function buttons seem smaller than normal. Panasonic DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray player
I purchased this to use with my Mitsubishi 60" DLP 3D ready TV. This DVD player plugs directly into the back of the TV so there is no need to buy an A/V converter to handle more add-ons to your TV. You do need to buy the HDMI cable because it only comes with the standard cable jacks but other than that it is a great deal for the price and the picture is so clear you feel your there. The menu has many options so take your time going through them to set it up the way you like.
