Product Information

If the world needs even more proof that skateboarding is a mainstream institution as opposed to an underground phenomenon, GRIND does the trick. Casey La Scala's lighthearted adventure introduces three friends who have just graduated from high school. Eric (Mike Vogel) is determined to make it as a professional skater. He convinces the college-bound Dustin (Adam Brody) and wisecracking Matt (Vince Vieluf) to join him on the road for a summer of contests, with the hopes of getting sponsored by superstar Jimmy Wilson (Jason London). Once they manage to recruit the smooth-talking Sweet Lou (Joey Kern) and his trusty van, the foursome hits the road. Things don't go as planned, however, to the point where Eric considers giving up. But that's when Jamie (Jennifer Morrison) enters the picture. Sweet, pretty, and a radical skater herself, Jamie gives Eric the opportunity to strut his stuff at one of the summer's most heated competitions. Never taking itself too seriously, GRIND is a pleasant ensemble comedy that features inspired performances from its up and coming cast. It is also filled with enough cameos to keep film fanatics on their toes (Randy Quaid, Tom Green, Bobcat Goldthwait).

The item took 22 days to arrive. I am not pleased with the packaging. The cd was sent wrapped in the cover art and track list information papers. The track list and art are bent and covered in tape, mailing address info and stamps. You should have at least wrapped it in paper. The disc is covered in scratches. The description said "Disc is in Like New condition" Luckily it was only a few dollars.

We have NO control over what USPS does. As for the packaging, the artwork was included FOR FREE. It's nonsensical to complain about something that you got for nothing; that's highly irrational behaviour. Most people in fact prefer the artwork, over plain paper. You are BANNED from all our listings, my friend!

Your response is ridiculous, I am never planning on dealing with you again. Thank you for banning me so that I don't accidentally see something you have to offer and consider purchasing it. Your listing says that there is free 2 to 4 day shipping. The listing also said that the cd was in like new condition which it was not. It also says you are from New York while the cd came from Michigan. I wish I had looked at the other feedback before purchasing from you. You will not waste my time again.

    It’s is what you think it is

    The product was perfect. The movie itself however has not aged very well.... but one viewing was very good to settle my nostalgia. My dog unfortunately did not agree and promptly ate the disc after the one and only viewing but I guess that’s life!

    The eluding dvd

    I've bought this dvd twice. The first time it was shipped to the wrong address. The last time I received a 16mb memory card. I apologize for my review of the movie. The movie is great. I just haven't got to watch it.

    I still love this movie!

    I bought this because of the nostalgia and it did not disappoint. Maybe it’s just me, but I still found the movie to be very entertaining 18 years after its original release. Will I watch it again? Maybe. Do I regret my purchase? Absolutely not!

    Familiar Storyline + A Few Key Skate Sequences = Medioc

    Teenage guys on the verge of college hit the road in hopes of getting a skateboarding sponsorship deal. Along the way, they become better friends and do some skating. If I didn't know anything about skateboarding, I might find the whole skateboard culture thing a little obnoxious, but the guys are likeable enough, even if their characters are a little flat and predictable (the dying-to-get-signed skater, the clown - who is awesome, the reluctant tagalong and the womanizer) and the challenges of the road plus their solutions are amusing enough. In terms of the skateboarding, there are some nice sequences and the cinematography of those beats most skater pron. I dug the skating and wished there was more. There just wasn't enough. My favorite sequence was the hotel pool - that was awesome. ...
