Super fun game! Major nostalgia <3

The pixel art for the first two golden sun games are stunning, they bring back a lot of good memories and are still super fun to play. Would definitely recommend for people who love turn based rpgs!!!

  • Golden Sun: The Lost Age

Released April 14, 2003 (US), Camelot's second installation of the Golden Sun series is, as it's predecessor, an RPG. Resuming from the storyline of the original game, this saga takes the player all throughout the fictional world of Weyard, from burning deserts to hidden seas. This newest installation of the game is much like the original, but it has one major twist: now you play as Felix and the bad guys. With the same objectives as Golden Sun, Felix journeys to light the four elemental lighthouses for unknown reasons. The battle system in this game is much like the original, with new unique psynergy, djinn, and characters to wield in battle. With many varying differences than the original, this game is definitely not a duplicate, and will keep the player busy for hours. You won't want to ...

  • Best handheld jRPG-RPG game of all times

I played it before on my computer, and even with the game boy advance graphics and limitations this game is just awsome, there are very few RPG games with sucha a good storyline on PC's and other consoles not to mention handhelds, Id take GS 2 over any DS title released so far, mayby with the exeption of the DS Zelda but I havent played it yet so Im not so shure even about that. This game is just a must have for everyone that puts a really good storyline over graphics [Im not saying those are bad but it is a GBA title, 2d animations cant get any better than in GS2, but with 3d on DS it is a little bit old school], also the fights and the tactical aspect of useing all the avilable powers/items/weapons/moves/dijins is just enormus, theres so many kinds of things you can do with the ...

  • An absolute masterpiece!

This is by far one of the best games ever made. The storyline is original and all of the necessary RPG gameplay elements were in place. The game is turn-based and the characters increase their stats by levels, so it plays out like a classic RPG/Adventure game. The game also has a decent amount of gameplay time for just the main story alone. There are several side-quests you can participate in and some of them begin in the original Golden Sun game. This game allows you to transfer saved clear data from the first game so you can keep your previous data if you choose to do so. You can transfer this data via GBA link-up cable or you can use a password. This save data really comes in handy in the next game when the first Golden Sun characters reappear in the sequel. I was very excited when I ...

  • A Great Old-School RPG

I played the orig' golden sun when it came out years ago, and have been waiting ages to play the second. It’s hard to find a copy of the sequel- a copy popped up at a local shop but it was really expensive! ebay is your best bet for finding a reasonable priced cart' This game is just as good as I’d hoped for, a proper level-grinding RPG; we don’t see many of them these days! Some great combat elements, (abilities boost via djinn) effects, and summons (which are fantastically animated) - also the battle scenes are rendered in a semi-3d style- a real treat. The character sprites are sharp and easy to individually distinguish, the music is a bit repetitive and can get on your nerves after a few hours- but don’t let that spoil things! The game mechanics are easy to learn, you've got the ...
