    This drill is about the best cordless tool I've ever used. I can't believe the power and compact size.

    My personal choice, best bang for the buck.

    I work in a multi unit apartment complex and needed a dependable cord free drill. I researched the various battery operated drills available and decided on the Makita LXFD model. It is light weight, feels good in my hand and has an led work light that comes on with a touch of the trigger and stays on for several seconds. The adjustable torque clutch makes it versatile enough for heavy drilling to installing light and plug cover plates without breakage. The battery life is pretty good but doesn't give a warning before it stops so I keep the second battery in my tote. Been using it for a few weeks and very happy with my choice.

    Should have been named TIMEX, takes a licking and keeps on ticking

    This is the second makita 18 volt lith-ion drill I own. The drill has excellant balance, power, and durability to last for many years. I work commercial contruction during the week and use these drills daily, with hard use. The makita brand is smaller than most drills, and handy to clip on tool belt for climbing. I highly recomend this product

    Even thiefs like them the best!

    Must be a great drill. some thief stole mine and left my Dewalt! I love the compact size yet still has the power of a big drill. Quality built too.
