Great suction power but have a little flaw.
The pump is compact with great suction power, I use for filling my 36 gallon fish tank and works great, but the plastic hose fitting broke after one use unscrewing it. I replace the part with a copper fitting and is working great...they should consider putting a better hose fitting.

Alternate use that works in the Texas heat
The pump is doing a fine job circulating water in my shop evaporative cooler (4500 CFM). The cooler is positioned behind me in my garage. My 3 HP wood lathe throws enough wood chips it is overwhelming. With some "cut to fit" AC filter material in front of the water intake this looks to be a good alternative to the traditional water pump that these type coolers use. It is lower cost pump and moves plenty of water to keep the fiber boards more than adequately saturated with the fan at its highest speed. With the old bottom water pickup wet chips caused the first pump to fail after a couple of years. The water pump device that came with my PCP/Scuba Tank Compressor did the job but, because it was cheap/weak, worked best when positioned higher than the compressor to benefit from the aid of gravity. At 400 GPH, this water pump can be positioned anywhere and still be powerful enough to circulate water with a significantly higher flow rate.
