About this product

Product Information

Nintendo's flagship monster-collecting series has been lured into a DS puzzle game with the release of Pokémon Trozei. The gameplay is similar to 1993's Yoshi's Cookie on Super NES, as players race to create horizontal and vertical matches of four or more images. Replacing the multiple varieties of cookies are colorful Pokémon faces, and the playfield now spans two screens. There are also more than 380 individual Pokémon pieces to manipulate using the touch-screen stylus, with each four-in-a-row match creating one Trozei. Each Trozei combination appears on a list, and in true Pokémon fashion, players must attempt to create each one until they've "formed 'em all." Two single-player modes include Trozei Adventure, a story mode that involves freeing Pokémon from the nefarious Phobos Battalion, and Endless Trozei, where the goal is simply to play as long as possible. The game also features a head-to-head wireless mode for some collecting competition against a friend.

    A good and all around fun game

    Having had the chance to play around with the game for a few weeks I can say it's a fun little game. It's not something that you'll probably be glued to the screen to but it's a great game if you're having a stressful day and need to relax for 20 minutes. It also helps if you have a decent knowledge of what each pokemon looks like but is something you'll easily get once you played the game for a while. My only complaint is that it takes a long time in endless mode before the game gets challenging. For me that was around level 35. This is a minor grievance though, because every 5 levels you clear in endless mode allows you start at that interval so 5, 10, 15, etc.

    I'm enjoying this game!

    I like puzzle games more than shoot-em-ups, so this was a no-brainer for me... I'm a bit older than the average handheld player, and the NDS has made handheld gaming accessible to those of us less skilled at all those funky button combinations. This game is only played using the stylus, and gets rather fast-paced later on, but not to the point of being an exercise in frustration. Not knowing much about Pokemon isn't a hindrance; you are simply manipulating charming little animated graphics. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind knowing what the heck the "unown" things are... = ) Anyway, this is currently my favorite way of getting my mind off life's little ( and big) annoyances- it's hard for the mind to wander when trying to get those last remaining random and rare little ...

    It's an ok game if you love puzzles....and have time.

    Pokemon Trozei. Dozens of Pokemon, two screens, and a whole lot of frantic touching and dragging are the game's highlights. Addiction is the side effect. VERY Time consuming, not for the youngsters you have to know how to play I recommend it for ages 12 and up. the younger ones might get bored the 2nd day. I bought it because I am a pokemon freak and As you know one has to own every single pokemon game, so if you want to have it as a collectors then go ahead but its not worth buying if your a hardcore gamer. don't spend over 13 dollars for this. and if you bought it and dislike it....try selling it it should sell. I really haven't played it its still in the box. I merely have it for collection and maybe a time of boredom.

    worth buying

    i remember seeing the ads for this game on tv. i thought, hey! that might be kinda fun. it took me a few years to buy it. i am glad i did. it is pretty fun. i played it the first dasy i got it. i ran the battery down. it took a couple of games to get the hang of it. now i am killing the high scores. if you get an urge to buy, but are worried about the fun factor. don't be, buy it!
