The Gunslinger: Dark Tower
Stephen King's Dark Tower is a phenomenally underrated series of books that is beyond anything that has been written in recent times. It takes a classic, simple story dominated by human elements (much like Lucas did with Star Wars) and creates a story that resonates with all of us in some way. The reading of this first part of the story is masterfully done with accurate, researched intonation and delivery. The book was not handed to the reader in the hallway and read minutes later for the recorder. George Guidall deeply and respectfully understands the story and provides a reading that equals the passion of its author, Stephen King. If you have not heard of it, get it, and listen to it. Hear what it has to offer. There is much to learn from it, much to think about. Specifically ... Stephen King's Dark Tower is a phenomenally underrated series of books that is beyond anything that has been written in recent times. The Tower is waiting and all depends upon Roland the Gunslinger getting there.

The man of sorrows
If I was to say that the Dark Tower series was for everyone of course that would be implausible, but if you are reading this review then I would say you are already a candidate for such an adventure. Maybe you’re a seasoned Stephen King fan then you should know that the Dark Tower sequence is considered his greatest literary achievement to date and I would personally have to agree the question to you maybe as to why! The Dart Tower goes far beyond the ascribed predetermined agenda of Kings Works. It’s not just a horror/ Sci-Fi tale, it’s an Epic adventure masterfully articulated only as Stephen King can. Filled with his poetic metaphoric visualizations bringing life to the top of every hill dread to every turn in a catacomb, but most of all and I say this as a warning the characters of ... The Gunslinger Addiction
I am now on Dark Tower book on cd #4. This first book is a little slow in comparison to the others so far. But interesting enough to make you want book #2 "The Darwing of Three". After Book #2 you are addicted to Roland the Gunslinger, and "forgotten the face of your father".
