    Clairol shimmer lights

    I was using this in order to make my blonde ashier and less brassy after I bleached my hair (asian hair, which has more warm tones) I used it twice and left it on the second time for longer as it said to on the bottle but it didnt make my blonde much less brassier as i thought, but what was I thinking? I had only just bleached my hair so it's surely too brassy and the blonde tone was too high to tone down. This product didn't work the first time for me. I decided to then get a ash blonde hairdye to tone my hair down, it didn't make a great difference but helped. However after a few washes with shimmer lights (3 so far) it's slowly making my orangey hair less orange, now quite blonde and I will continue to use shimmer lights til i get a more ash blonde result! I recommend finding a good ...

    Smelled terrible!!!

    I went to the salon and had my hair done, they washed it with this exact shampoo and it smelled great! When I got it, the smell was horrible!!! Like a bug spray/chemical smell. I think the shampoo had been switched!

    Works only for already pale blonde hair. Not Orange or Gold.

    I bought Shimmer lights because I recently bleached my brown hair blonde on the ends (Balayage) and my hair pulled very orange and yellow tones after bleaching. I was told that this was a good product to cancel out the brassiness and make blonde hair more natural or ash colored. After using once I saw no change. I have used it a couple more times since(directly applying the shampoo to slightly damp hair) and have only noticed an extremely subtle change to the pieces of my hair that were already very light. They are now a nice light/pale blonde. However, the rest of my hair remains a very obnoxious gold color . The smell is very strong and overpowering. It is a very "Grandma" Powdery sent that will stick with you even through 2 or 3 days of not washing your hair and then washing ...

    Bye bye brass

    Definitely shows a difference with first wash. Taking away that orangy brassy tone. I recommend using the shampoo and conditioner as well. I also use a strong repair conditioner afterwards as it can leave your hair a little dry if used often 💆‍♀️

    Great product for hilighting the grey

    This shampoo and conditioner are excellent for making your gray hair more "silvery". It really removes yellowness that sometimes tends to be in gray hair, and turns it a beautiful silver. I have used it for 3 weeks now and i have really noticed a difference. You don't have to use it every shampoo - I use it about every 4 or 5 days, using my regular shampoo in between....
