Twins World Series wins
I was there. The noise was incredible. I had a great seat just past 1st base. This DVD doesn't just take me back but shows things I either missed or couldn't see in real life. Well edited, well narrated, and good quality. Pretty pricey for me but no regrets. Just seeing Kirby run again is worth it.

Great Idea -- Average Production
I grew up in Minnesota and watched both the 1987 and 1991 World Series. I was super excited to find this DVD of both world series. Another benefit was that these DVDs focued on the highlights from the games so that I didn't have to watch the full series. While the idea of these DVDs was great the production left a lot to be desired. There were just way too many shots of fans --- I would have liked to see more game highlights. Also, there were many great events during these world series games that weren't presented that way on the DVDs... For example 1991 Game 7 -- When Jack Morris pitched 10 innnings of shutout baseball -- that was barely mentioned and I'd expect such a great performance to be a bit more noteworthy. In summary, the DVDs could have been better but I haven't been able to ... I grew up in Minnesota and watched both the 1987 and 1991 World Series. Win Twins -- A win for the baseball fan!
This is a good item from a baseball fan's archival perspective. The 1991 World Series was one of the greatest ever, if not the greatest in terms of even matchups. Four of the seven games were won in the final at bat and the seventh game was won in the bottom of the tenth inning, with ace Jack Morris pitching a complete game for the Twins' dramatic win. The fact that it also covers the great '87 WS and has specific details of the major turning points is great. The insights and subleties which capture the ebb and flow of the two series' and the momentum shifts is superbly accomplished. The in-depth and wonderful analysis by Tim McCarver is a bonus. The DVD is good quality and for the low price, is a no-brainer for the true baseball fan.This is a good item from a baseball fan's archival perspective. Twins World Series DVD 87 & 91
This is a great video if you are a Minnesota Twins Fan! There's excellent vintage footage for the 87 & 91 World Series. You will see Al Michaels & Jim Palmer looking very young broadcasting the game. Kirby & Kent Hrbeck look very young as well. If you weren't able to be at the World Series these are great videos to be able to watch! If you're a true Minnesota Twins fan you will love this video!

The Twins win on DVD!
What I love about this DVD is that it features the Minnesota Twins in their World Series winning glories from 1987 and 1991, when the Twins were charged and ready to do battle on the diamond. What made me decide to purchase it is the fact that the Twins have their roots in the legendary attempt at a third major league in the late fifties, the Continental League, and this DVD shows just what a team the Minnesota Twins have become. I heartily recommend this DVD to any and all Twins fans.
