    CW-K85 OK but Short Life Cartridge and get the Adaptor

    As a stand alone I had difficulty switching from Spanish to English or figuring out the navigation but it works (I can use some new glasses). My printer came with used batteries and no adaptor for electricity which is considered optional. I bought batteries but feared using them up before I could figure out the machine. I ordered the adaptor. You can also get 8 or 16 rechargeable batteries. (8 to use and 8 to be ready to change). On screen my computer shows the menu which for the first set of choices cuts off at the bottom and the window is not adjustable. I chose data, one of the top 3 choices there was also music and digital image labels The lower 3 are File open, Free ? and Free ? ... ? is what I can't see. After that setting up a label, choosing a font and font size are easy to do, ...

    Casio CW-K85 CD Label Printer.

    I read manual first. Seemed complicated, but it got easy quick once using it. I assumed it would use printable discs since it is a printer; not so. I found out too late after I bought a pack of 30. It will not work with Memorex printable discs, maybe some other brand. It seems to print on just any other type, I tried several. Makes a nice professional printing right on the disc itself, without using stickers. CD's with stickers won't work in some CD players,in fact sometimes, you can't get a CD out of the player that has a sticker on it.

    Casio CW-K85 Printer Review

    The Casio CW-K85 printer is a very good unit I have used to print labels on DVDs I have made from my camcorder. The unit works fine with bold print and several optional styles, particularly in black. The other optional ribbon colors green, blue, and red are a little bright. After some use the unit does not print as clearly even after cleaning the head. Overall it is still a good buy.

    Better than expected

    For those of you looking at this product and wondering. Have no fear, it is an amazing addition to my duplication system and provides Pro quality look and appeal. It uses a standard printing cable, so if you buy one without a cable just swap out your printer. Drivers and manual easy to use! You be up and running in a matter of minutes and printing your 1st label. ** Word of Caution** DO NOT use white printable CDs, they will smear. Use ONLY SILVER and you will be speechless at the outcome.... PROMISE!
