Duke it out in some of your favorite spots, including Smashville, Yoshi's Island, and the Bridge of Eldin when you play Nintendo's Super Smash Bros Brawl for Wii. Released in 2008, this the third installment of the highly successful Super Smash Bros franchise. It is the first of the series to become available to play on the Nintendo Wii console. Gamers can choose to play as their favorite Nintendo characters, including Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Mega Man, Zelda, Mario, and 30 other classic characters. This game, which is mainly comprised of two-dimensional fighting action, allows you to play with up to three other players or go on a solo adventure. This makes it great for both group- and single-play entertainment. Super Smash Bros is most famous for its classic fighting mode that allows up to four characters to battle each other. The goal in fighting mode is to knock opponents off of the screen. Each character has four unique moves that they can use to defeat the others. All characters can also use projectiles and melee weapons. When game milestones are hit, players can summon assist trophies and poke balls to help them. Players can also practice their moves against the computer to build skill they can then use to defeat other players and characters. Super Smash Bros Brawl contains a unique solo story mode called the Subspace Emissary. The side-scrolling gameplay in this mode is similar to that of the Mario Bros games for the original Nintendo. Cut-scenes are interspersed between levels to explain the plot. In Brawl, the objective is to battle the Ancient Minister and his evil minions, the Primid, to prevent the bad guys from invading Subspace. The game features different storylines that vary depending on the character you play. This Nintendo video game also has a stadium mode that offers mini games that include Home Run Contest and Boss Battles. This Wii game includes a diverse cast of 35 playable characters, many of whom will be instantly familiar to Nintendo fans. Some of the characters from the Mario franchise are featured in this game, including Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi. New characters for this Nintendo installment include Diddy Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. The fights take place on 41 different stages, 10 of which were featured in Super Smash Bros Melee. Stages include the Mushroomy Kingdom, Sky world, Yoshi's Island, Rumble Falls, and more. Players can also create their own customized stages. This exciting, interactive Nintendo game features intuitive controls that make it even easier to brawl your way to the top. It is compatible with four different types of Wii controllers: Wii Remote, Wii Remote with Nunchuks, the GameCube controller, and the Classic Controller. It also allows gamers to connect with other Smash Bros Fans over the Wii's Wi-Fi connection in order to battle. Upon its release, Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii quickly became a hit. Brawl has garnered many fans who love its intense gameplay and fun story. It has an ESRB rating of T for Teen.

    My 9 year old boys really enjoy it

    They have been using it for a few weeks and they say it's exciting, entertaining and fun. It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. There are instructions in the booklet. You can do practice battles, as many as you need, without time limits and without your enemies trying to knock you off the stage. There's one thing they don't like: in the story mode you can't choose your character. Also, the graphics are "medium", not great. Overall, they are really pleased and recommend this this game.

    After a delayed release in America because of slow manufacturing, Nintendo finally released the much anticipated Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Brawl is the new crown jewel of the Nintendo Wii franchise. The new and improved game engine really boosted the graphics and light, and to say the least it’s awesome. Brawl has become an early favorite for Game of the Year. Super Smash Brothers veterans could probably beat the game in 6-7 hours on the normal difficulty, but for the average player it takes from 10-12 hours to beat the adventure mode. Without revealing too much of the storyline, Nintendo has done a great job of incorporating the characters into “Adventure Mode” and providing a thrilling experience for the player. The campaign is highly entertaining, but quite lengthy. ...

    One of the best games the Wii has to offer

    Although the Wii does offer a new unique look into gaming, the console does somewhat lack the true gaming premise that requires awe-inspiring graphics and a multitude of legendary games that names never go unheard such as Call of Duty or HALO. Again the Super Smash franchise has come back to recreate this somewhat well-known game into a newer better fighting slashing galore that has been an obsession in all nintendo fans alike. The game has a newer cleaner modern look to the fighting and menus, but possibly due to the Wii's futuristic gaming design or possibly my loose grasp on the idea of using the Wii controller to play super smash may have strayed me from truly enjoying the game. To keep this review short, all in all I would say that I am certainly a fan of the Super Smash ...

    Good price, great game, old favorite. Glad to find!

    It works, was a good price, and we were glad to find another one. We had this when we were younger, it broke, and we had hoped to acquire a new one to play with younger siblings. The game is fun, and we enjoy spending some of our free time with an old favorite!

    This is a great game, fun, and enjoyable game for the whole family. This is a great game not only for the clear graphics and the spectacular effects, but also because it brings many known characters all into one game. these characters include Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Yoshi, Kirby, King DeDe, Sonic, Snake, Fox, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Zelda, Pit, Link, Metroid, Lucas, Ness, and much, much more. This game also has awesome stages that make you feel like your in the action! I have played this game with my whole family and they all enjoyed it. I definitely recommended this game to anyone who enjoys playing video games. If I had the opportunity to buy this game again, I would buy it with no hesitation. Not only is it a great game, but it also brought my family closer.
