Musically, the Blue Men concoct a kind of quirky metal from their collection of found and conventional instrumentation that's effective in settings such as "The Current," where they're combined with Rossdale's grunge-lite vocals. But the Men are also good at being laid-back and slightly sinister when occasion demands, one example being the accompaniment to Dave Matthews's distinctive vocal on the infectious "Sing Along." The outfit's crowd-pleasing version of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" is an ideal vehicle for Esthero's Beth Gibbons-like vocal, shedding the retro-jocularity of the live show version for something darker and more explicit. Ultimately THE COMPLEX neatly sidesteps any questions about translating the Blue Man oeuvre to a non-visual medium, with a combination of quirky arrangements and strategically placed guest stars.DVD Features:Region 0Audio: DVD-A Surround English DTS - EnglishAdditional Release Material: Featurettes - 1. Not only did this seller offer me a perfect price I couldn't refuse for this classic volume of Anderson's Fairy Tales, they did the same for another great classic title from Easton Press! Two for practically the price of one will always grab my attention, and this seller knows how to do business on eBay! Both books were shipped out swiftly, were both protected well in packing and arrived in the excellent condition they were listed in and photographed! Truly, one of the best book deals yet! A+

The shipping was fast and product just as described and shown. The box set came nicely wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap. Which I am so glad it was since I was away from home the day it arrived and it was rained on the entire day. When I got there the next day, the cardboard box was so wet it was practically destroyed. Thankfully the actual product itself was unharmed due to how the seller wrapped it. So I deeply thank them for that. This is an amazing seller.

  • Blue Man Group Rocks!

I took a chance on this DVD-A disc and all I can say is it was well worth it! Sound quality is excellent as well as the stereo separation. If you are looking for a different sound this disc is for you. A subwoofer is highly recommended for the "big drum". These guys made instruments out of PVC tubing mostly and came up with some really unique sounds. And they are well played at that. Some real genius on this disc. It is one of my favorites. There is also some cool video content as well. Some spaghetti western style guitar with home made instrumentation and tribal sounding beats. I can't wait to hear the next one I ordered...

  • The Complex is Complex-i-cated, sheeesh.

Excellent Audio/ENHANCED CD, but my fault (?) as it wasn't what I thought I bought. I like it just the same. I bought it to replace the original Complex DVD that I have misplaced somewhere. It seems there are like at least 3 Complex CD,Enhanced, or DVD versions of "The Complex"; mine was in a regular CD type case which fooled me to think that it was a CD but was in fact the DVD. I think this version originally came out in around 2002,03, or 04....?? Anyway no biggee. BMG is cool no mater WHAT! Saw them live once too.

  • The next step in the BLUE MAN evolution

JUST when you thought the Blue man had done it, they take their next step and improve upon a great thing. This CD is great. With special guests like Dave Matthews and Tracey Bonham it pushes the envelope for the Blue Man tricksters and does not dissappoint. Most of these songs are played on their LIVE tour (A must see). Enjoy this, over and over again. The videos for these songs are amazing too. LONG LIVE THE BLUE MAN! (They have a groovy website too)

  • Blue Man Group-The Complex

Yes.They are a one of a kind. But something you can't walk away from.I did once when I first saw them on the late nite show,But did not listen to them. Then one day they were on another show, but I listened.I said I was a fool for not listening in the first place.I said what did I miss the last time? You'll love it. Take that step. The music is just something else.
