Three Weeks with My Brother by Nicholas Sparks and Micah Sparks is such a good book!!

'Three Weeks with My Brother' is a memoir that is moving and emotionally stirring. It's about Nicholas Sparks and his brother, Micah setting off on a three-week trip around the world, and in the process they discover truths about loss, love and hope. It is a great read and I did enjoy it. So worth the buy. Happy I did purchase it and added it to my Nicholas Sparks collection!

  • This Makes you love Nicholas that much more.

To begin with, I have to say that Nicholas Sparks is my absolute favorite author. I am usually one of the first in line to purchase his books on the day of their release. I've always wished he would release more than one novel in a one year period, and was thrilled when he began releasing twice a year. That said, after reading his memoir, I can now understand why he only publishes only once a year, and appreciate his work that much more. His family comes first, and although he loves to write and is honored by his readers' attention & devotion, he simply does not want to spend any less time with his family than he absolutely must. In order to fulfill this need, we as readers must savor the books we are given, and anxiously await his next delicious read. I was deeply touched by the ...

  • Three Weeks with my Brother

When I first started reading this particular Nicholas Sparks memoir, I could not put it down. I read the book in it's entirety in one day. (Of all the books that Sparks has written such as The Notebook, Message in a Bottle, etc, I do believe that if you start with reading his memoir first you get a better glimpse at some of the personal challanges and crisis that occur in his life which is portrayed in his other Novels). Most of his books are fiction but, again, some of his books are based on his life experiences. His Memoir, written with his older Brother, Micah details their lives growing up. This book will have you laughing and crying at the same time. Nicholas and Micah decided to travel and see some of the sites of the world in 3 weeks time. During this time, they, each, discover how ...

  • A Lifetime Reviewed in Three Weeks with My Brother

I bought this book for my 23 yr old daughter for Christmas. She and I have read most all of Nicholas Spark's books and I wanted to get her some reading to savor over Christmas. I chose the right book! I didn't plan on reading the book before I wrapped it and gave it to my daughter, but I opened it up and could not put it down! I finished it today and would have to say it was one of Spark's best books. Nicholas and his brother, Micah, go on a 3 week trip around the world visiting sites that are usually best read about in national geographic or the likes. Nicholas intertwines his childhood and young adult years into the story of the trip, and while I enjoyed reading about where he and his brother were visiting, I looked forward to learning more about the Sparks children and their parents as ...

  • Three Weeks With My Brother

First, I love Nicholas Sparks and every book he has written. This book was the only one I haven't read. Nicholas and Micah did not disappoint me. I loved this book just as much as all his others. I laughed many times, as I found their lives to be so relatable to my own, as they grew up together. The whole flyswatter thing had me laughing so hard, I was crying...I guess my mom wasn't the only one. In other areas of this book, I cried and felt for the families during their trials and tribulations of life. I have a son who is a little like Ryan, thank you Nick for talking about it, and being strong for your son. Because it is a pain no one understands unless they are in the situation...it helps to know we're not alone. This is a great book and I REALLY enjoyed it. We are not all ...
