A hugh difference!
What a difference between a battery powered air pump and a wired one! I used to ignore checking air pressures on our cars' tires because of the hassles involved with a wired air pump that needed to plugged into the 12V power outlet in the car. With this battery powered one, no issues at all. Just push in a battery to the bottom and ready to go. I like the built-in digital air pressure indicator, which seems to be pretty accurate. There is no cable to move from one side to another of the car and no need to power up the 12V in-car power outlet. Needs a trigger guard. Continuously hitting the trigger on accident. Will consume an entire battery to fill an automotive tire. Works great for simple balloons. Doesn't appear to be built very well, one drop could probably break it.

Cant tell you how many times ive had low pressure in the middle of nowhere and the only air pump available charges a dollar. If you add up all the money ive had to spend it far surpases what i paid for this machine it takes roughly the same time to fill it up as it takes at a gas station and it does have other uses came new in box and i already had ryobi batteries and tools so good addition to the collection Cant tell you how many times ive had low pressure in the middle of nowhere and the only air pump available charges a dollar. The inflator shipment arrived earlier than anticipated and it is very straight forward to use. The pressure hose clips on securely, the LED pressure gauge is accurate, the pressure output is strong. I like the trigger activation and the compact design. I also like the battery vs the wired operation of my previous inflator. Too early to comment about the durability of the product but so far it seems more than adequate to my need. I was looking for a portable tire inflator,and after looking at all of the ones offered, I decided to purchase this unit. Two reasons why is because I already had the batteries and chargers because I have a lot of Ryobi equipment.The product did everything it said it would do and the digital pressure gauge is a plus. The one thing it should have is a trigger lock.
