    Gorgeous film… worth every penny!!

I had never seen “The Fall” and came across it by accident. Once I was aware of it, I couldn’t wait to see it. As the movie is OOP and no streaming platforms carry it, I was thrilled to find a DVD copy here on eBay. Watched it and it’s incredible. Gorgeous cinematography, engaging characters, and emotional twists and turns to the end. This film now lives in my soul.

  • Masterpiece

There are very few movies that I feel time wasn't wasted by watching them. This movie is one of those rarities. Not only is the story absolutely hypnotizing, the visual experience is a stunning masterpiece. The young girl in the movie acts way beyond her years. I have read critical reviews of this movie, but I would not want to know the people who could watch this movie and describe as anything but beautiful.

  • Wonderful storytelling!

A story within a story as interpreted by the eyes of a child, and what a child! The director managed to pull out great natural expressions from the little actress that was used in the film. And she had to do it with her arm in a cast often held in an awkward position. The visuals are stunning!! The visuals and colors are vivid; the locations and buildings used are real, not created by CGI. Touches of Escher, a swimming elephant seen underwater, and man emerging from a tree, heroes on a quest, and then the reality of a troubled injured man and a little girl who idolizes him.

  • The Fall; Didn't Fall Short, Dazzling Cinematography!

The opening scene of The Fall was fantastic; the music, imagery and slow motion effect added to it's beauty and make us anxious to see - what's next? We're taken to a hospital where a young girl named Alexandria, her hand in a cast, writes a note for a nurse and throws it to her out of a window. But the note goes inside the window of a patient and the young girl goes to retrieve it. In doing so, she meets a man who tells her about her name and begins a story that captivates her. He weaves a tale so exciting and beguiling, the young girl gets caught up in it. Soon after, we begin to see his true motive. It's brilliantly colorful with a fairy tale like quality and the plot is quite jarring for such a young girl. But none-the-less, it's makes for a great script and a greater ending. And it's ...

  • THE FALL

One of the most original and stunning movies I have seen in a long time. The set design and cinematography are visually stunning and fantastical. It is fun and whimisical and yet dramatic. There is lavish imagery and fantastic real locations creating the atmosphere for an epic adventure. It was gratifying to view something real instead of computer graphic generated. I admit to being totally biased toward Lee Pace- one of my favorite new actors, who brings a sense of wounded vulnerability to the part of the injured protagonist. At the same time, he has deeply dark motives and is deviously manipulative -- but that smile!! Stealing the show is new Romanian child actress Catinca Untaru, a real find in her first movie performance. She is incredibly naturalistic and innocent. Her wide-eyed ...
