Creative Zen X-Fi 32gb WITH wi-fi...
After much research, I bought this mp3 player (my very first one) here on ebay in 2009, absolutely LOVED it; it was perfect for me..I easily loaded all my favorite songs, albums, playlists on it (drag'n'drop thru Windows Explorer) & never even used the SD card slot (a nice li'l bonus) 'cuz hey, it had 32-whopping-gb!! The screen was just too ridiculously small to even entertain watching a video, but I wanted it for listening to music sp..no big loss there What I loved about it...really terrific sound...I mean, I could buy a set of earbuds from the Dollar Store & it sounded like I'd spent a bunch of money on some from BOSE! I could set it on Shuffle'n'Repeat & NEVER hear the same song twice...and a really good battery life...well, until the battery died a couple years later WITH all my ... Meanwhile, it's in a sandwich bag, along with the screws which I've stored in a Tic-Tac case, tucked away in my sock drawer until the day comes when I decide to go for it, buy the battery & watch the youtube video!

If you want a player that's small, lightweight, and has great sound quality, this is a pretty good buy. But it doesn't come without some major drawbacks. Creative lists battery life at 32 hours for audio, but you're going to be lucky to get half that with regular usage. And while video quality is great, the battery life will keep you at one movie tops. Syncing up with the player is a bit of a hassle as well. If you want album art to show up, you'll need to use Creative Centrale, as WMP only synced up half of my art. And if you have multiple albums of the same name (easy to do on a 32 gig player) you're going to get album art from one applied to all. A little odd seeing a Godsmack cover while listening to Secondhand Serenade (album title for both is "Awake"). If you just want ... I have never had a mp3 player, yet always wanted to get one. Before, I bought this Zen XiFi (32GB), I researched heaps on the web to find out the best on the market for a reasonable price. I should say that the price was a bit uncomfortable to bear, but when you think of its features such as, screen resolution, the mini size, wifi capability, memory expandability, FM radio, superior sound quality and etc, I personally found it hard to resist. My Hand phone already has wifi, therefore, I will not be using the device to browse the net as my phone wifi is much more comfortable to use. The reason I went for the 32GB device without going for the wifiless 8GB or with wifi 16GB was the inbuilt memory capacity as it is heaps for me to use without buying additional memory cards, but there is still ... The provided software was useless. You can do the same stuff that it is supposed to do with "Windows My Music" files on your computer, therefore my advice is not to install the provided software on your computer. What Zen should have provided was a software which can change music files from one format to another, as this would be a major issue if you want to convert your favourite songs from CD to MP3 or WMA or etc. Due to this very reason I had to spend some more money and buy a software which can do what I wanted. This is an absolutely amazing software called "Audio Converter Studio 6.0" which can convert almost any file format to another and I would recommend this software to any one who wants to save money without buying songs over the internet. Now, back to the device; I also bought a silicon cover for the device to protect it from shocks and bumps.You can get these covers from eBay as accessories for your device I think these are very essential to keep the device safe from accidentally slipping through your fingers. This unit is extremely small to the size of fitting in your top shirt or blouse pocket.Key pad is very easy to navigate as well. All in all I think this device is better than Zen Xifi2 (Latest Version) in terms of size and portability. And I Love it for its superior and crystal quality sound along with its base effect. It comes with a USB cable which can be used to recharge the device when the battery fades, by connecting the device to a laptop or pc through the help of the same cable. In my opinion this is a perfect device for storing photos, videos, music and audio recordings.

I bought the 16GB version already with the wireless LAN function and was delighted. You can log in to the Creative Media Server from your home wireless network or public hotspots for streaming podcasts, download music remotely etc.. I even stream movies over the LAN from my PC and they come out pretty good on the LCD. Buttons are a little poky but overall it's a great unit. DJ function is great, dicta-phone is pretty good and the external speaker is nice for when you are sitting at your desk. I'd recommend getting the Creative TravelSound accessory if you want to really hear things well though. Headphones are really nice too, just be sure to put them right into your ear ... I'm happy with it now although it took awhile to get it working as it should. Was quite discouraged at first. Still haven't convinced myself that the X-Fi does anything. The Podcast feature is good if you are happy with what they select. Would be better if you could select what you want. Would also be an improvement to have the buttons a different color than black.
