    Matthau-Jackson Magic

    Walter Matthau and Glenda Jackson, two of the Twentieth Century's best film stars create a special magic when paired together. They were never better than in this comedic spy thriller. Romance, comedy, action, suspense! The good guys win, the bad guys are flummoxed. What more could you want? This is first rate entertainment.

    Hysterical, fast moving. Definately a must have movie.

    The ultimate battle of one person vs an organization of many. Miles Kendig (Walter Matthau) is targeted for termination by the CIA. Miles, using his years of knowlege as a field agent, continually frustrates the executives of the CIA and their continual attempt to remove him from the realm of the living. Action moves quickly from city to country, with Miles alway at least one step ahead of the CIA assasinations. Great scenery as Miles is "chased" from one country to another. But who is really chasing who. Glenda Jackson is perfectly cast as the quiet suporting companion. Definately a David vs the Goliths movie. A rare movie, that you could not make any better.

    Hopscotch

    We came across this as I was looking for some family favorites from when our kids were young. I'd seen this back when it came out and remembered loving it. If you're a Walter Matthau fan you'll love it. Even if you aren't, you'll probably love it! It's a great movie and fun to watch him keep them on their toes! Amazingly enough...it got an "R" rating because in one scene one of the characters uses "the F word" (as our kids would say,) a lot. In today's world this movie would get a "PG" rating easily! How times have changed! There was nothing else offensive about the movie that we could determine would have earned it the "R" rating. Very enjoyable! Get it and laugh!

    Superbly Dry Comedic Action Flick

    OK, I'm biased, but this is a fabulous movie. Funny as all of Walter M's work, and just suspenseful enough. Ned Beatty plays the perfect heel. It is old, but I feel that it has aged well. Walter's character, Kendig, seems a lot like the everyman emanation of James Bond or Ethan Hawke, but gruffer and much more playful.
