    I'm a Jew-He's a Jew

    I'm one of those clickish Jews that only associate with my own kind. So, imagine my surprise when I discovered that an orthodox jew is also a rapper. His mother probably wanted Matisyahu to go to an elite university to become a doctor or a lawyer. But young Matis had a different career path in mind. His music is unique. It's whimsical jewish content being rapped to a reggae riff. The lyrics can be somewhat trite however they are very catchy and usually offer a moral or a question for self pondering. In a world of bias and discrimination it takes courage for this artist to do what he does. He's not afraid to be exactly what he is and say what he truly believes. But because Matisyahu is an orthodox jew, don't expect to see him perform on a friday evening or saturday afternoon. He keeps the ...

    Matisyahu's Youth CD - Unique & Powerful Music

    After Live at Stubb's - I've been patiently awaiting Matisyahu's Youth CD to drop... and I have been very satisfied (despite my lofty expectations). Youth - the track that is being played throughout MTV - and King Without A Crown - the gem from Live at Stubb's - are the two most air-play heavy tracks... but all of the songs feature Matisyahu's wit, fast lyrics and reggae beats. 5/5 - I really do encourage you to check out Matisyahu - both Youth & Live at Stubb's 1.     like most record reviews your going to read good and bad ones i happen to like this cd and if you like beat boxing or like bands like 311 or bob marleys music then i think you will like this record my advice for this cd or any other you might be thinking about buying is look up track listing and go to youtube and listen to the songs and decide after that to often people go and buy a cd not knowning if they are even going to like it so they waste their money and end up saying bad things about it so listen to this album first if you can and hey you might just like it too ,my opinion is its a good simple album that every age group could listen to and enjoy its not hateful or vulgar music even though thats what some perfer if you are one of them you wont like this cd but if your somone who ...

    Unique is My Dove

    I bought this because my grandaughter had just married a navy man when he was home on leave. She told me he kept playing a certain song "Unique is My Dove" and called her his little dove. I ordered the CD to learn the words to the song which has a lovely sentiment saying she is the other half of his soul. Now I ask you, how romantic is that! Very pleased with the CD.

    CD and stuff

    I bought the CD because a friend recomended it to me. I liked the fact that I could find it on ebay (that's for a lot of things). The price was right and I disliked that I could listen to samples of it before i bought it. I ended up liking just one song. So now I'm going to sell the CD again. I just tried to sell my Mercedes Benz and was dissapointed about the sale. I ended up putting it on craigslist.com and the local newspaper after it didn't sell and the phone was ringing off the hook. I sold it 2 days later.
