    Blue top Optima for truck camper

    I purchased this blue top Optima for my truck camper. Its a perfect fit in the battery compartment. My truck camper is older but does have a solar charger to top off the battery constantly. I just came back from a 3 day dry camping in the eastern sierras and the had to use the heater nightly. I didnt bother fully charging the battery before the trip and my battery meter read 3/4 full. after a full 3 days of using the battery for the heater, lights and TV, the battery finally showed 1/2 charge when I left. By the time I got home which was a 5 hour drive, it showed 3/4 full with the solar charger. Although it performed flawlessly, I recommend that the battery should be charged completely before leaving for a trip. Definitely a big improvement from my old wet cell battery. Would ...

    Combined starting & deep cycle

    The battery is a bit pricey, but the security of coming home justifies every penny. I like the high reserve capacity they offer, insuring the cranking ability even on a hard startup!
