A Great Album!
I've owned the LP since 1973, but have only recently purchased the CD. Rings does a little bit of everything on this, and with the help of the other 3 Beatles, and an all-star supporting cast, makes his his easily best known effort!

The BEATLES reunion that almost was!
After The Beatles disbanded back in the spring of 1970, each indiviual member decided to branch out on his own. It was a wise move, because each solo member would have their own success. Nevermore was this more evident than in 1973. John released "Mond Games", George released "Living In The Material World", Paul released "Red Rose Speedway" and "Band On The Run", and fans were treated to "The Beatles/1962-1966" and "1967-1970". But, it was Ringo who had the closest thing to a full-fledged Beatles reunion when he released his first rock album, simply titled "Ringo". This classic album features perhaps Ringo's best work as a soloist. Every song has something to offer. John composed the song "I'm The ... After The Beatles disbanded back in the spring of 1970, each indiviual member decided to branch out on his own. It was a wise move, because each solo member would have their own success. George co-wrote the ballad "Photograph" with Ringo, which turned out to be Ringo's very first number one hit. He also scored a second number one hit with his remake of the early rock classic "You're Sixteen", which features Paul mimicking a kazoo. Paul also composed a song, entitled "Six O'Clock". On the first promo version of this album, this song ran for over 5 minutes. On the standard release, it is just over 4 minutes. This CD reissue also contains 3 bonus tracks: the non-LP B-side "Down And Out"; the 1971 hit single "It Don't Come Easy"; and the B-side to the latter, "Early 1970", which is Ringo's musical tribute to his 3 former bandmates. The "Ringo" album is a classic musical milestone.

If you love The Beatles you will love this CD. I have had the LP sense it came out in 1973. This is the ONLY LP to ever have all four members of the band to work on it after the break up and you can tell. Ringo may be the only singer but that's ok, you can tell they had fun making it. One more bonus is you get three more songs on the CD than came on the LP. If you like The Beatles just buy this CD. You will not be disapointed. Have a great life and as Ringo says "Peace and Love"If you love The Beatles you will love this CD. I have had the LP sense it came out in 1973.
