    Tuff Halogen Lamp (50W)

    Turtles need both the UV and the heat from their lamp. The Repti Tuff lamp is built fairly well. It's the heat that kills these bulbs and sometimes the fixtures. I try to get the lowest wattage and have experimented with numerous light fixtures. The fixture MUST be ventilated or the bulb life will be shortened. I think everything is made overseas now but the Repti Tuff bulb is a notch above some of the competing junk that's out there. I think you'll find that your turtle will be quite happy with the heat from a 50W bulb. Unless you have a huge tank, the higher wattage bulbs may just be an over-kill.

    Bad light..does not give off enough heat..it is very small..waste of money..do not buy!!

    Does not work for turtles..you can get a better complete heat lamp at Walmart!! This is Poor quality!! Does not work for me!! Bulb is very small
