This unit will make quick work of all of your home printing needs.The HP 1010 inkjet device is designed to save energy, which may help lower your monthly energy consumption and reduce your environmental footprint. The accessories for the HP Deskjet 1010 Standard Inkjet are certified by ENERGY STAR, which means that every time you use the device, it is preventing greenhouse gas emissions and meeting the efficiency guidelines set by the U.S Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It has an input voltage of 120V AC and 230 V AC, so it's very power-savvy. It connects to your computer via the USB 2.0 cable. It only takes 10 watts of power to run this accessory, and it has a 1,000-page per month capacity. There's an off-mode power consumption of just 200mW and a Sleep-Mode power consumption of just 800.With this type of HP Deskjet 1010 Standard Inkjet Printer model, you can print on all kinds of media, including brochures, photos, labels, envelopes, and greeting cards. Combining high-quality ink with this printer's technology will result in darker blacks and vibrant colors. The output tray has a capacity of up to 25 sheets. It can print on many different types of paper such as photo paper and 8.5-inch by 11-inch letter size, 8.5-inch by 14-inch legal size, and postcards. It can also print No. 10 envelopes in the 10-4.13 by 9.49-inch size as well as DL envelopes that measure 4.33 by 8.66 inches. The print capacity of the ink cartridges for this HP Deskjet Ink Printer are approximately 190 pages with an HP 61 black ink cartridge and about 165 pages with an HP 61 tri-color ink cartridge. It is 17-second monochrome ready and 24-second color ready, which means less wait time during print jobs.This printer is compatible with PC and Mac computers. It can operate with PCs running Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. It also works with Apple Mac computers running the OS X 10.6, Lion, or Mountain Lion operating systems. Your Windows or Mac software should be able to detect the printer and install the necessary drivers. You can also manually install the driver if the software doesn't automatically locate the Deskjet 1010, and driver updates are available for download on a regular basis.     Welcome to 2015

    I bought my last HP printer in 1999. When it died, I looked for a similar small version of the same type of printer and found the 1010. The installation took a little while, because the CD alone didn't work. However after HP's website figured out the problem, I was back in business. Printer is light, faster than my '99, and works just fine for what I need. Considering what I paid, this was a great deal.

    Best Quality for Cheapest Price.

    Life is too short to spend time figuring out a printer. I've used this HP printer for years, and years. Always keeping an eye out for good deals on HP 1010 back ups. I've gifted 3 to friends that have the same needs. Rarely have I encountered a problem with one of these. There was one that had a problem with paper intake, but having only spent a few bucks on printer, not much of a loss. A friend needs me to print out 30 page applications and I've printed 5 sets for her from my current XL HP only ink packages. If you only need a printer for emergency copies needed, you can't find better quality at a cheaper price. Buy a couple so you've got a back up. I've never even had to use a disk to get started with one. I love these printers. Old 5andimer.
