After initially selling three of the Corto Maltese books as a set, I asked if I could just get one of the books. The seller agreed at a rather low price, considering the condition of the book and that's it's out of print. I received the book fast, but unfortunately the book seemed to have several black stains in it. Thankfully, after I messaged the seller, they gave me a little refund. Overall, despite some issues, the seller provided me with very good service.

Dont pass up this one.ESSENTIAL early Will Eisner! Before The Spirit, before Yarko and Black X....was Hawks Of The Seas! Under the name Willis Rensie, Will Eisner created this strip very early in his career. CLASSIC stuff, any fan of Eisner or golden age pirate strips will like this. VERY complete collection of this rare strip. Some missing bits(just a couple) but probably the most complete collection of this strip there is. The vastly talented and influential Eisner started this strip at the age of 19 from my understanding. Already great but its interesting to see how far he took his amazing style from these early strips! Already the second release of these comics.
