    Great analog delay

I had a Boss DD-3 for my delay pedal and it was decent, but I've really wanted to pull as much "digital" out of my tone as possible. Since the vintage Boss DM-2 is way out of reach for me price-wise, I jumped at the chance to get the next best thing. This pedal is exactly what I hoped for. One caveat, I do keep it on the "Custom" toggle for the longer delay time. I play mostly in church and I find that the long delay really sings for what I'm looking for in certain worship songs, especially when paired with my Boss CE-2 analog chorus pedal. If you're looking for a more classic analog delay sound, you can't go wrong with the Boss DM-2W.

  • Boss DM-2 versus Carl Martin Red Repeat

I bought this pedal to replace my Red Repeat(with which I was very happy although it stopped operating off the battery for some reason)mainly so that it would fit better in my pedal board. I really only use it for a rockabilly slapback effect and with this being(apart from the less desirable DM-3)the last analogue Boss delay pedal it has classic vintage tone, especially when run through the effects loop of a valve amp. Boss casings are indestructable and if you can pick up the DM-2 for around £100 it's going to hold it's value but I won't be selling mine in any hurry.

  • Ultimate vintage delay

If you want a vintage delay with all the quirkiness and warmth they are known for, this is the one. Don't bother with an Ibanez unit, this is far beyond that in 'it' factor. The delays are short(300ms) but so warm and gritty. Great for slapback rockabilly or for a small amount of ambience to your sound. It sounds really good through the front end of a slightly driven older Marshall(JTM45) with a small amount of effect mixed in it gives it a reverb like quality. Make sure you don't get one that someone has messed with the internal trim pots for extra delay time, the delays are lo-fi enough at the 300ms setting. I have had them all and NOTHING compares with the sound of a DM-2.

  • very musical. the only analog delay you need.

great recreation of the dm2. very musical. the only analog delay you need. well built like all boss pedals. experssion pedal works with modular synthesizers control voltages for trippy sounds.

  • DM-2w

Back in the 1980's I used a Mesa Boogie Mark 1 and a Boss DM-2 exclusively. Everybody envied my sound. With the Waza Craft DM-2w I have my sound back and more. Boss pedals are durable and sound great. This product comes highly recommended.
