Received item 4 days after expected delivery date. Opened the package and put batteries in the item, to find it didn t work as described. Emailed the seller, and they quickly blamed me for breaking it! I Opened a return and the seller was rude and said I needed some manners. I closed the return because this seller needs my money worse than I do. Seller said that they were going to block me. Then asked ebay to revise my feedback! This seller is a liar and a crook!

This is complete untruth! Mailed item on date paid. Listing showed video of working Santa- playing, moving. Buyer accused me of knowingly shipping defective item. I suggested he review photos and video. Offered FULL refund upon return of item in original condition. Buyer then sent rude messages and negative feedback. Buyer closed case with no return. When I requested revised feedback for item not returned buyer resorted to libelous statements. Advise all sellers to block this nightmare buyer!!!

    Arris TF862g

    The item was new and just as advertised. The modem was shipped and arrived quickly and plugged right in with no issues. The value was good compared to the rental fees compared to the provider. Overall longevity has not been rated as I've only had the unit operational one week. Note - the modem does not come with a backup battery, so the modem resets to default setting every time power is lost. Thanks.

    Not for Triple Play Customers!

    The itemarrived quickly, and may be new, but was a very old model. It powered easily, and all lights went on. I followed all directions, but spent a lot of time trying to get it to work correctly, with my comcast Triple Play, and it did not. I worked with phone support people (4 different ones) for a long time. As a last resort, I had them send a very experienced tech to my house, but he showed me that it was just not compatible with my system. I'll be returning it.

    Arris Telephony Cable Modem

    The Arris TG862G WiFi Telephony Cable Modem allows me to only have one modem...it handles internet as well as telephone communication (hence, Telephony). My cable company had to set it up (via a telephone call) so that it would work with my LAN router, and also the company had to set it up for the telephone function. Once that had happened, everything is much faster and streamlined. I returned my leased phone modem and save that $10 cost every month! The lights are easy to see, so the state of the modem is always obvious. Connections were no problem either, since all of the connections are standard coaxial, Ethernet, or telephone plug. Now, we can stream movies without constant interruption for buffering. The unit looks great, too, so it is nice on the desk. By purchasing a used ...

    Need to learn WiFi set up

    Since this Arris model does not have a WPS button, the code (six digit number) provided by my HP Officejet printer had to be somehow entered into the Arris. I had to learn to use the IPaddress of the Arris (xxx.xxx.0.5) as a web address. Then I found the place to enter the six digit code. Took me a lot of Internet searching to find out the procedure.

    works well ...easy set up

    This is compatible with Xfinity and I had no problem hooking it up....the problem is I"M STILL TRYING TO GET WI FI. According to Comcast I have to go to their office which is 35 miles away and inconvenient in order to have them accept this modem so I will have WI FI. When I spoke with Arris tech support...they wanted $39.00 to help me which really didn't set well! So if you don't need WI FI you'll be fine. If, like me, YOU HAVE TO HAVE WI FI...be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to get it to work!
