Notes
Limited vinyl LP repressing of this 1969 album. Bound To Happen kicks off with the magnificent, deep soul classic, "I Forgot To Be Your Lover". In William Bell's hands this staggeringly beautiful song, written with Booker T. Jones, would melt the coldest of cold hearts, regardless of hair coloring. In 1969, though they had split with Atlantic, the Stax operation was much as it had always been, with the same team of side men and, in this case, Booker T. Jones handling the production alongside engineer Ron Capone at the Stax studio. William Bell had been with Stax Records pretty much since the beginning, but for whatever reason he didn't actually start having hits until the late 60s.
Item description from the seller
Seller feedback (95)
- 8***8 (8)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe item arrived exactly as described and photographed. The timeline of shipping and arrival being late was independent of the seller and due to USPS. The record is skipping, but that is most likely due to my record player and the packaging of the item by the manufacturer. Again, it is not the seller’s fault. The package was sold as new and in the manufacturer’s packaging. The seller sent the record in music media packaging and an additional layer of bubble wrap, which was a thoughtful addition.ANONYMOUS by Blackbear (Urban Outfitters Limited 2LP White Vinyl) (#226599694546)
