    An "OLDIE", but one of the BEST!

    With this Blu-ray I was presented with the most beautiful version I have EVER seen! It has been a lot of years since I had seen "OKLAHOMA" and I did recall the basic plot line, such as the songs, but not all of the fine details that make this a great joy to watch. The details were presented clearly on my widescreen display and the sound was as clear as we could have wished for. It a "Good Many Times" movie, and always will be.

    Rodger's & Hammerstein's first musical

    This is their first musical. The rest is history. Great story, Great Music, Great Actors. You actually have TWO different versions of the same movie as it was shot twice. Once in the special TODD-AO lens and the other is in CinemaScope. Most movie goers of the time never got to see the award winning TODD-AO version because most theaters back then were not prepared for the new lens. Then the same with television, which was worse with it's pan and scan version. It is the exact same movie, but if you are a film buff, you might want to play them side by side to see the differences.

    Oklahoma! on Blu-Ray is an absolute must to own - for visual and music quality alone

    A true cinematic classic! The music, the cast, the world of Oklahoma you fall into........5 STARS!!!!! And especially the Todd-Ao version on Blu-Ray is jaw dropping in its' noticeable improvement - the painstaking efforts to bring you as close to the original screen experience has truly paid off! The detail in the background, and foreground - the colors, and the sound quality capturing the sweeping and majestic musical score are beyond captivating - you feel like watching it again as soon as the end credits roll! A musical that stays with you long after viewing. VERY highly recommend the Blu-Ray for both versions
