However, there are several defects in the surface paint (which, hopefully, are cosmetic and won't affect the item's performance.) The seller's photos did show these defects, so it is my fault for not paying closer attention to them. I incorrectly assumed the white spots were part of the design. (Note: I encourage all sellers to provide written description of defects in the listing for transparency purposes.)
