    About this product

    Product Information

Shadows of the Damned places gamers in the role of demon-hunter Garcia Hotspur, to travel to hell -- literally -- on a quest to recover a lost love. Inspired by survival horror adventures, the game plays out in a psychologically twisted rendition of the underworld, but features extensive sequences of violent, fast-paced third-person shooting and combat, against seemingly limitless armies of soulless foes and grotesque monstrosities. The woman Garcia loves was stolen away, in retaliation for his demon-hunting ways. His only chance of saving her is to travel to the depths of the Abyss and bring her back himself. Clad in his outlaw biker gear and armed with a selection of upgradable, supernatural weapons, the hero shoots and slices through hordes of nightmarish attackers. At many points in his journey. Garcia must also solve perverse puzzles, using light to usurp the powers of hell's darkest evils. Shadows of the Damned was created by Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio headed by eccentric designer Goichi "Suda51" Suda. The game's creative producer is Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series.

      Underrated game

Why this game never blew up is beyond me. I had to get it again when I knew it was available for xboxone backwards compatibility. The soundtrack is amazing. It is made my Akira Yamaoka who is famous for making the silent hill game franchise music. The gameplay style is pretty similar to resident evil 5 so it felt pretty smooth. The story is one that has been told; guy goes to hell to save/get his girlfriend/loved one. But I love that as you go deeper and deeper to get her, your partner (who is also your weapons and a demon himself) Johnson tells you more and more about the demons and their role or purpose for the stuff they do. The game is pretty immature with so many dirty jokes and they sometimes felt overused but overall, this game is just soooo underrated. It would have been so good if ...

    • Awesome quality!

I was skeptical about getting games online since I'm never sure if it will work but this game worked almost flawlessly! Only a single bug where it froze at the first cutscene. Other than that it plays perfect.

    • Love This

I loved this game. Try it on the ulta-hard level; one boss alone took me over an hour for one fight. It has so much to offer - although yes, you do have to look past the juvenile humor sometimes.

    • Purchase

It’s a game for my brother so I don’t really know if the graphics are good or not. However, the package came earlier than expected and was shipped promptly from the purchase date!
