      To start off the build quality of the Denon dvd-3910 is very impressive. Built like a tank and weighing in at 20+ pounds this thing screams top notch quality all the way. This replaced a Denon dvd-2910 in my main system to compliment my Denon avr-3806 receiver. I didn't know what to expect as far as the sound quality compared to the old unit but I was completely blown away. The sound that came through the speakers (Cerwin Vega S-1's) was simply amazing. Could not believe what a difference there was. The Denon dvd-3910 is all that and a bag of chips. I bought this strictly as a CD player and will never use it for video play so I can't comment on the quality of the picture although I don't believe it would be terrible.       Unreliable player

      I first bought a 2910 which skipped a lot and the DVD tray would not open due to a bad belt design. Then I bought this 3910 which plays beautifully when you can get it to read a disc. I like Denon products, but these things are not meant for the long haul! I just listen to SACD's and regular CD's not DVD's with this player. For what these players cost retail, they should last 20 years.

      Denon 3910 CD/DVD player

      The CD player is fantastic great audio the DVD player has issues when you hook it up with a HDMI the drawer will not open and it just flashes loading continuously and I cannot figure out why that is but as of now I cannot get it to play DVDs but as I said great CD player so I will continue to try to figure the problem out. Thank you

      EXCELLENT AUDIO....USE IT AS A CD PLAYER!!

      I cant rate the video quality, as I only purchased it to use as a CD player. The CD section is what has been rated as exceptional. I have purchased 2 of the Denon DVD2900 units for the same purpose, its superior audio qualities. Well, this 3910 unit is far beyond the 2900 in audio quality. It has a smoother sound and the imaging, separation and frequency response; is stunning. I liked the 3910 so much, I purchased a second one, so I would have a spare.

      Denon DVD-3910

      I got this player largely for it's DVD Audio and SACD playback capabilities. Boy, I was not disappointed. They don't make em like they used to... This player is true to the source. That is all you can ask from a true hifi component. Do no harm to the material. That is exactly what I got from this player. Just pass the signal baby!!! Highly recommend!!!
