    great speaker, it is defiantly louder when it is plugged into a power source, i plan on keeping it inside most times. i don't like how it cant pair with older models of Sony speakers but besides that it has been great. using it for a dorm room in college, it shakes the wall, i have already gotten several noise complaints because of how loud it is.

    If you want boom look into something else bottom line

    The sound of okay depends on what you're listening to acoustic is great the bass is not there so if you want bass that pounding house shaking look into something else jbl Rockville or dolphin depends on what you want to spend but this speaker isn't that boom box good for sound bar I guess bit this speaker isn't a boom box just to let everyone know

    Bass will blow your mind and hurt your ears

    I don’t have nothing else to say, I had the small brother (XP-500) but I got the (XP-700) for a cheaper price and I’m just impressed with this speaker bigger size bigger drives, I love it.

    Great but can be greater

    My free advice to sony is that, they should make their sounds from their speakers a little sharp. Their speakers have bass but lacks good and sharp tweeters. I owned a sony mini sound system, although it sounds good, it lacks sharpness so I added extra tweeters and it sounded great. This xp700 sounds the same, if there's a way to add extra tweeters to it, it will sound great.
