    Very nice phone and answering machine -- all it lacks is a speakerphone.

    This combo has good speech quality and a fairly good answering system (which could be better if a bit louder, but is OK). The only thing missing is a speaker phone on the handset. The product's description implies it has a speaker phone, but this is really only the speaker on the answering system, not the handset. And, unlike some other brands, there is no speaker function on the answering system base if you are trying to use a speaker while calling. Other than not having a speaker phone, everything else is high quality and good sounding.

    nothing much to say

    when it says "speaker phone"..for me it means you can use it without being held to your ear!of course the base has a speaker built in!...Secondly,the keypads are very hard to press..meaning I have to exert extra effort pressing it to dial the numbers!! However ..for the price I paid I should just be contented for now! I'll keep looking until I see one with an answering system and a real speaker system on the handset! Thank you. ERLINDA HOUSE

    No REAL answering machine.

    It was advertised with having a answering machine. NO it dose not! You have to go through your phone company and have a message system set up for you. When I read a title that says with answering machine I expect to be able just push a button and record my message in the system. You can't do that. I have had a lot of phones over the last few decades and that is the way they work. Not this phone. Then to top it off the instruction papers that came for it are for a different model. Even the photos on it show the same basic model as this, but no screen or buttons for any kind of a answering system. So if you want a phone with a answering machine like you been using for the last thirty years, save your money and look elsewhere. The price was VERY good on this phone, but it was the perfect ...

    Nice phone.....key pad too spongy

    I like this phone. It has a nice appearance and nice quality. The keypad keys are spongy. I find myself holding each key down until the number registers on the screen. It would be nice if the phon would have a flashing light to show a new message.
