    Nice little recorder

    This is a really excellent recorder! This is the last microcassette recorder that Sony made, and they broke away from the traditional style of unit for it, trying to isolate the microphone as much as possible from the tape transport. I have to say, it records very nicely. Pretty minimal tape noise, playback speed seems consistent, good battery life. I only wish it had a socket for an external microphone. It's modern enough that Sony still has the owner's manual on their website. They seem to be reasonably priced and plentiful, so if you need a microcassette recorder, this certainly isn't a bad one!
