    GREAT THATCHER

    This thing worked great, I used it around the front and sides of my house. It wound up taking out 8 wheel barrows full of thatch, and the lawn didn't look any different really. It was light and easy to use. Worth not renting, I have since lent it to my neighbor as he was impressed.

    Not worth the discounted savings price.

    The unit continually overheated during the first pass along the length of my lawn. The bag frame was not welded properly and is a force fit into the hanging slot. The machine was also difficult to push, this could be due to a dense thatch layer though. I would not buy this product in hindsight. I would opt for aeration instead.

    Economical Dethatcher

    This is a nice de-thatcher. Light weight and easy to use. The bag is a waste of time. I didn't get 2 steps before it was full. So if you were looking, like I did for a bag so I didn't have to rake, don't waste your time with this. You can find them with out the bag, and cheaper. I think for the money this is a good buy. Since rentals are at least this much or more. What I do like is I already have the extension cords, so I didn't have buy them also. I do like not using gas to mow and this went right along with that. Everything I own, is electric with a cord. I don't like buying batteries for cordless. So like I said, this is a great value, if you are setup with cords and electrical stuff.

    Works Great Overall

    Waited till after rain, so ground not rock hard. Used the 2nd highest setting, which did a great job of dethatching and loosening upper layer of soil. Only complaint bag does not hold much. However, I expected that from youtube reviews. Finished so quickly, was able to use it one direction, repeated 90* another direction, rake, pick up the excess thatch and seed w/in a 1/2 hour. Would have given it 4 Stars, except for the "Bag" *Therefore, used Without the 'Bag'
