Good Inexpensive Piece
First off, for the price it’s a great deal. The nut, spring,bolt to tighten and loosen the scale is kind of crappy, but after a little file work to clean up the threads it’s working ok. It is pretty perpendicular within .005 /.007 and for general / non-critical layout and gaging it’s just a handy tool to have. Again it’s no Starrett, but it’s the tenth of the cost and if it disappears it’s not a big deal. First off, for the price it’s a great deal. Accurate Compact Affordable
Accurate, compact , and affordable, but sharp corners on handle. For certain line layouts this gauge is my first choice go-to. Don't have to deal with balancing a rule that's too long. I filed the sharp corners on the handle so it feels much better to hold. Easy enough to carry in pocket so its readily available.
