Switch can be used for more than table saws and should be listed as such.

Switch works great. Easy installation. No special skills required for installation.

  • Top critical review

    OK, but has some issues........

I'm using these to turn on and off magnetic starters for table saw, shaper, and router table motors. For this purpose, they work fine. Load is in milliamps, so not worrying about load on the switches. Some installation notes: 1- The mounting screws are not standard 6-32 machine screws and will not fit standard boxes. 2- the terminals are very small and will require sta-kon crimp terminals. I question that they would actually hold up under full nameplate load. 3- The faceplate and the switch mechanism must not be spaced out or it will not work. Faceplate and switch must be mounted tight, as it comes in the package. Note: I am a master electrician with 40+ years of experience, so can work around all these limitations and have a fully equipped shop!

  • Cheaply made, poor design, impossible to mount by normal means

Switch is lightly built, and has no means of mounting to either a cutout in a box cover, nor to any kind of box. There are no mounting holes provided in the facia or front cover of the switch to fasten it to a box or cutout in a panel or box cover. Size of terminals are small for the gauge of wire used for a 1-2 HP single phase motor. Switch functions OK when tested with an ohm meter, but overall construction seems marginal or light for the intended service. Still figuring out how to mount the switch, will likely have to make up a sheet metal box cover and either drill thru the facia for mounting screws. "You get what you pay for", and for the low price of this switch, this saying proved all too true.

  • Switch is too deep

The depth of the switch was to great for standard electrical boxes. Even with a deep box, it was difficult to screw closed with the wiring.

  • Table saw safety stop

Took a bunch of modification to fit 4" sq. box plate to fit. Needs washers to space out switch from cover after grinding and filing. I used milling machine as there was quite a lot of metal and a tab. Then you need longer screws. It is being used as a knee operated stop switch in series with regular switch on table saw. Works great Will probably get another for band saw.
