They are hinge pins, but they are not titanium. I cut them with a pair of cheap pliers and as you can see in this picture I picked a piece I cut off up with a magnet. Titanium is a non-magnetic metal. I spoke to the seller several days ago said he would check into it I haven't heard anything back. So here I am.
