Since Samsung does not make this battery anymore, the advertised "oem" battery is likely a fake. After 8 full charge cycles, the battery had a rated capacity of 53% of the advertised 4900 mAh. The tablet also randomly shut off with 25-40% of the charge remaining indicating a faulty or poor controller. My now 9 year old original battery performed better. On the upside, there were no issues returning the battery for a refund.

You are wrong. This is an Original Samsung battery. Factories still manufacture this battery model for Samsung. The battery you received was likely defective. We sell lots of these batteries and have had very few complaints on them. A bad battery is always a possibility no matter which Seller you purchase from, even if you purchase directly from Samsung. If a buyer ever receives a poor performing battery, we are more than happy to replace the battery. You decided to return for a refund instead.

    Battery lasted less than one year.

    This battery lasted less than a year. I emailed the company about this and got no response. I suspect they are selling off old stock knowing that they have an expire date and they hope most customers will not be bothered to complain. I do not recommend buying batteries from them unless you are fine with it lasting less than a year.
