Finally a time saving retro
Received my 20 vent caps and installed several right away. They fit great and were easy to install. Just drill a hole near the top rear of the handle, same diameter as the smaller section of the cap, make it smooth, then press it in firmly and you are done. Works great. Saves a lot of time when pouring the fuel and not having to wait for the glub-glub. Not the location of the vent cap in older jugs when the vent caps were standard. Best if above the fuel level when the jug is full. I have not had a leak.I recommend them. Happy in Texas.Received my 20 vent caps and installed several right away. I love these things
These vent caps are awesome. I was using tire valve stems before my friend told me about these. The valve stems worked great, but tended to deteriorate quickly with the contact to gasoline. With these vent caps, you just drill a hole and pop them in. Despite what I've seen and heard online and from people, you don't have use any adhesive or sealant with them. I simply installed them and they have not leaked for me. If you have some of those "safety" "vent less" gas cans around, these are the way to go to make your life easier and, in my opinion, safer.These vent caps are awesome. The vent cap is also a great improvement when installed in these vent-less plastic gas cans. Follow the instructions to drill a 1/8 in hole then enlarged to 31/64 in. Carefully use a screwdriver or something similar to work around the base of the vent to work it into the hole. It will fit tight. Push it in by hand if possible. If it won't go, make sure it is closed and hit it with a mallet (or hammer) to pop it in. I did 5 of them with no issues. Don't think, just buy!
Does exactly as you'd expect. Works like a charm. Just take a look at the can you intend to use them on. Having a flat-ish area for the vent to go is best, though I did get one in a slightly curved section of one of my otherwise useless cans. Haven't tried pouring with one in yet, but it's a no brainer that it's going to be a glorious experience.

Plastic Gas Can Vent - good stuff
Added a nice vent to my red plastic Briggs & Stratton Combo gas can. Put it on the top of the handle. The recommended 1/2" installation hole was just right for a snug fit. Tapped it in place with a hammer gently. Decent material. Snaps on top fine for my application.
