It was too wide to fit on my prototyping boards so I had to leave one end hanging off the edge and use flying leads to connect to it. It would have been more convenient to have the Vcc and ground connections the same end as the I/O connections, and just RS485 and ground the other end. Unlike some other RS485 interface boards, this one has no additional protection against incoming transients on the RS485 connections. But it does the job.
