    Rapid delivery. For some reason these new brushes had their edges sloping the opposite way to the old ones. Perhaps my machine which is very old is different from the more recent Whirlpool models. I opened the brushes cases and cut the braid right where it was fastened. this released the carbon brush and then I turned this round 1/2 turn to make the slope right. Then soldered the braid back. I bedded them in using fine sandpaper round the commutator, and the machine works perfectly.
