Changing Out T12 Ballasts to T-5s
After Changing 1 old T12 ballast (which caught fire) to the new T-8s ballast I was an expert on the next 10... Use One T8 ballast were you needed 2 T12s.....I was able to keep my heavy steel fixtures and not spend $100s on new complete flimsy light duty ones..( I checked all local lighting companies )Built to last quality is gone. New T-8s are smaller , brighter and ballasts are quitter and instant on. This ballast can be used with a 2 bulb, 3 bulb or a 4 bulb. Just by capping off a couple of wires when using this ballast on less then 4 bulb fixture. Cost is a little more but you need a lot less inventory.

It is not a sylvania, It is a knock off. Based on the scratches, it looks like it could have been a used product. Works as advertised.. Price was ok, but for something that was not a sylvania, it was not a great a deal.
