Works, but fit is not as good as the OEM switch.
The OEM switch was a on/off rocker-style switch. This substitute switch is an on/off slide switch. It sits slightly recessed in sander housing and that makes it a bit difficult to slide the switch because you have to put your finger into the switch recess and then try to slide the switch.. The OEM rocker switch was a lot easier to use, and if you have an electronic supply store near by you probably could find an exact replacement. Fit and works.
Installed in a Makita finish sander, works good. Only difference from original switch is where the power wires attach to the switch. This one has each wire attaches on the sides and the original at the back of the switch.
