    Kim Simmonds is Savoy Brown, and Savoy Brown is excellent!

    When I saw that this release included a DVD my mind was made up - I got a CD and a live DVD for the cost of an inexpensive audio CD only. If you're a fan of the blues with a rock tint (or rock with a blues tint) you'll enjoy this. There's also an interview with Simmonds. It's nice to see that he's a pleasant, down-to-earth regular guy. I had the good fortune to interview him in the mid 80s and he seemed the same on this DVD video interview as he did back then. The DVD also has a fantastic version of my favorite Savoy Brown tune (and one of my all-time favorite tunes period) Tell Mama!

    Great blues

    Something is better than nothing. Kim Simmons is one of the top 10 guitarist in the world , it’s a shame that he’s past his prime. Still great blues.
