    In Love and Death. Great album.

    it's hard to produce a "5 stars" album, especially when your debut album is already a "5 stars", because of the expectation of the audiences is extremely high. "In Love & Death" is the follow up of the The Used overwhelming self-titled debut, which they pretty much kept their own style, combine style-merging rhythm with emotional energetic vocal, turn out to be another album full of interesting arrangement and powerful melodies, "Light With A Sharpened Edge", "Hard To Say", "I Caught Fire" seems to be more melodic tunes, whereas others like "Sound Effects And Overdramatics", their first-single "Take It Away", "I'm A Fake" will be more on their harder, emo-ish side, i personally enjoy listening to it very much, it deserve a nomination fot the album of year.....

    Sometimes someone else can say it it so much than you.

    Excellent album that's full of emotion. Bert's obviously been through a lot and is good at letting it all out. The songs are easy to relate to with things going on in your own life, plus you gotta love how he can scream one minute and be laughing like a lunatic the next. I've very recently become a fan of The Used and while I love the first album too, this one really shows how the band is maturing musically. So much for the old sophomore curse. Everything from hard hitting in-your-face tracks like "Take It Away" to a killer emo-esqe love song like "I Caught Fire" to the more laid-back and trippy songs like "Lunacy Fringe" or "Hard To Say". This band has more depth than I would have believed before I became a fan, now I listen to them all the time.
