Features improved FMV visuals over the Sega CD version.This controversial horror-action FMV action game starring Dana Plato has you observing a pajama sleepover of several comely teenage girls ... gone horribly wrong!! Monsters have invaded the house, and unless you set off traps to capture the stalking creatures, they will snatch up their prey for unspeakable acts of terror! Though the game was meant to be a silly horror game based on the slasher genre and showed little on-screen violence, the game's FMV realism and demented story concept brought the game to the forefront debate as part of the 1994 U.S. Congressional hearings over mature videogame content.

    Trapped by Ingenious

    Before I get into this review, let me make my rating evaluation clear: Below average, in this case, is actually a compliment. You see, Night Trap is a campy b-horror movie game, and the game nails that description dead on. From the ultra lame briefing in the beginning sequence, to the much fussed-about bra/shower scenes, this game screams (pun intended) bad horror. The controls are a bit odd, but once you understand the game they are easy enough. The graphics are a touch above those of the game's sega cd counterpart. It should be noted that this is the game that brought about the ESRB rating system, as Congress had a fit about the game's shower scene. Not enough nudity, if you ask this guy. :)

    Not a great game but it is a cult classic. And the Sega CD/32x shows it off beautifully.

    32 bits of classy

    i loved the 32x version of this game it was so much crisper and clearer and sound was day and night from the reg cd copy but i injoyed both .also theres like no load tymes in the 32x version. other then that its the same game but much cleaner and that matters also the size of pic on screen is bigger with 32x copy. i injoyed dig pics when thney werte pumping all the 90s c g stuff and full motion vid stuff . like it or not its a huge piece of gameing history with all the heat it took from the mommy club burning there bras for rights to complain about anything. lol. buy it if u have a 32x and a cd add on unit. complete the beast the sega mega machine lives feed me......

    The image is far superior to the SEGA CD version. However the fmv gameplay is still very weak.
