    Simply one of the best sourcebooks available.

    First of all I must admit that I have never liked the Gurps system itself. But I have still collected many of their supplements simply because the are so well researched, written, and illustrated that they are valid sources of information on anything especially historical settings. Gurps Rome is a wonderful example of the latter. Rim of fire is set in reality of what could have been has the Emperor not been assassinated and the Third Imperium thrown into a devastating Civil War and the tragic release of Virus. ...as one who never bought into the idea that a conspiracy as large as Dolanor's could be kept secret and that Naval Intelligence wouldn't do what they did to branch off this reality I have come to like their setting much better than having to deal with deviation as in ...

    A great, detailed sourcebook for the Traviller Universe. A must for those that wish to adventure in the Spinward Marches.

    General Notes on Product.

    A resource book for GURPS Traveler. Rim of Fire is rich in generalized backgroud for the Solomani Rim Sector of the Imperium. but lacks the planet-by-planet depth of the Behind the Claw product. This is a better product choice for those who wish to highly customize their GURPS Traveler adventure area, but a less helpful product for those who prefer to play in an "Official" style of adventure.
